This page explains which personal data is processed when you visit www.biosat-survey.com, why, how long it is kept and how to exercise your rights. It complements our legal notice.

The data we process

Contact form

Your name, company, phone number, email address and the content of your request, together with the date and the IP address of the submission. We use them to answer you and follow up on your request (legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering the requests we receive, or the pre-contractual steps you ask for). Requests are kept for 3 years after our last exchange, then deleted. An acknowledgement email is sent to you through our email service provider Brevo.

To protect the form against spam and automated abuse, it uses hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.), which analyses technical data such as your IP address and browser characteristics (legal basis: our legitimate interest in securing the site). hCaptcha is only loaded on the contact page.

Audience measurement, only with your consent

If you accept it in the cookie banner, Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) measures how the site is used: pages viewed, where visitors come from, type of device. We use these statistics to improve the site, not for advertising. Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.

Technical logs

Like any website, our host OVHcloud records the IP address, date and page requested, for security and to keep the service running. These logs are kept for one year at most.

Some components of the site (the Swiper slider library) are delivered by the jsDelivr content network: your browser connects to it to download them, which reveals your IP address to that network. No cookie is set.

Cookies

Without your consent, the site only sets the cookies it needs to work:

• hv_consent (6 months) remembers your choice in the cookie banner, and the wp_consent_* cookies (30 days) pass that choice on to the site’s extensions;
• on the contact page, hCaptcha may set a security cookie (__cf_bm, deleted when you close your browser).

With your consent, Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies (13 months).

Recipients and transfers

Your data is never sold or rented. It is only accessible to authorised Bio’sat staff and to the service providers that help us run the site: OVHcloud (hosting, France), Harvest (technical maintenance, France), Brevo (sending of emails, France), Microsoft (our email inboxes), Intuition Machines (hCaptcha), Google (Analytics, with your consent) and jsDelivr (delivery of technical files). Some of these providers are based in the United States or may process data there; such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You may access your data, have it corrected or erased, object to its processing, ask for its restriction or portability, and withdraw a consent at any time. Contact us through the contact form or by post at Bio’sat, 14 chemin du Professeur Déperet, 69160 Tassin-la-Demi-Lune, France. We answer within one month.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

The site links to other websites, such as our veterinarian panel, Facebook or LinkedIn. They have their own privacy policies, which we invite you to read.
